TEMPLE YOUTH (1).png
Ryan Buxton, Director of Youth Ministries

The Temple Youth Ministry exists to equip young leaders of the Church by providing a safe and nonjudgmental environment for youth to build community and faith. We do this by offering weekly gatherings in which youth learn and discuss faith topics together and with a group of trained leaders; as well as by offering opportunities for youth to get involved within the church and in missions. All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join the youth group for regular gatherings and special events.

Meeting Together

We meet on Sunday mornings from 10:00-11:00am for Sunday School. Over donuts we have topical discussions relating to the faith of the youth. These range from discussions about common themes found in the Bible, to a “Theology in Movies” series in which we watch part of a movie and have a discussion each week based on how that movie relates to our faith or to stories in the Bible.

Throughout the school year we also meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm. This time consists of a lesson and discussion, small groups, games, and snacks. At this time our Sunday evening gatherings are focused on walking through the stories of the Bible and discussing what we can learn from them and how to apply that knowledge in everyday life.

We occasionally replace our regular gatherings with service projects, field trips, or other activities.
